Last-Minute Christmas Songs

You are probably well on your way to learning all of the songs that you will be singing over the next few weeks for special Christmas programs and celebrations. In fact, you may have been rehearsing for weeks and now is the time to sail through. You could sing those songs in your sleep! Good for you for being prepared. I would love to hear what you are planning to sing.

But sometimes plans change and you may have just gotten a last minute call to fill in and sing a special Christmas song in the next few weeks. You don’t have much time to choose a song and learn it.

Well, I’m going to help you out. I want to suggest a few songs for you to check out that are “easy to learn” songs. Songs that aren’t complicated, tracks that are easy to follow and words that are easy to pick up on – songs that are wonderful choices, filled with truth – no one will be able to tell that it was your last minute Christmas song.

O Come, O Come Emmanuel by Steven Curtis Chapman – offered in three different keys with a simple melody.

Breath of Heaven (Mary’s Song) by Amy Grant – I could listen to this song year round. So beautiful.
