Information Collection and Use

Christwill (“Us” or “We”) is the sole owner of information collected on this site to purchase products and services from us (refer to the next paragraph for the limited exceptions to this). We will not sell or rent this information at all, and will only share this information with third parties as outlined in this policy. We collect information from our customers to process orders and better serve you with pertinent information, such as order and shipment confirmations and to provide you with information on products and services that are available from us or parties associated with us. We may also use such information to better understand the shopping experiences of you individually or in conjunction with a group of our customers. Information collected includes your name, shipping address, billing address, telephone number, email address, and payment information such as your credit card number. We assign your email address as your user name and a password is generated for your future access to your account information. To safeguard that your user name and password remain confidential, DO NOT share this information with anyone. If you elect to receive our newsletter, surveys, or special promotions, your contact information will be used for the delivery of these items.

However, even if you elect not to receive newsletters, surveys, or special promotions, we may still periodically send other transactional communications to you that contain customer relationship information. This includes, for example, informational emails regarding changes in our policies, changes in our methods of conducting business, or requesting that you review the information we have on file for you or the options that you have previously selected regarding your transactions with us. You may opt out of receiving these emails by closing your account. To close your account, submit a support ticket or call Christwill Customer Service from anywhere in North America toll-free at 1-866-600-2025 or 307-222-4244 for international callers.

We may also gather or receive information on you from third party sources, such as marketing databases made available for commercial purchase. Our use of such information will comply with applicable law, the limitations imposed by the third party on us in connection with our receipt of such information from such third party sources, but not necessarily this privacy statement.

Our Web site includes Widgets, which are interactive mini-programs that run on our site to provide specific services from another company (e.g. displaying the news, opinions, music, etc). Personal information, such as your email address, may be collected through the Widget. Cookies may also be set by the Widget to enable it to function properly. Information collected by this Widget is governed by the privacy policy of the company that created it. Our Web site links to our publicly accessible blog and community forum. You should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. This privacy policy does not cover our blog or forum.

Pre-registration is not required to place an order on our website. Instead, we have integrated registration into the checkout process. Your email address becomes your user name and a random password is generated for you. These are presented to you as log in information on your order confirmation page and email. This log in information grants you access to your order details (which include shipping information) as well as the ability to change contact information and access download purchases.

Most of the information we collect is used to process your order(s). During the order process, you must provide financial information such as your credit card number, card expiration date, and card security code. This information is used for billing purposes in the fulfillment of your order. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this contact information to get in touch with you. To properly process your credit card information, we must share your personal and financial information with the merchant bank for authorization and approval. This process is protected by an enhanced, proprietary security system. See the Security section below for more details on security measures and procedures. We do not share your personal and financial information with any third parties, except those specified in the Sharing section of this policy.

Cookies and Sessions

Cookies are not required to shop on our site. However, they are used if you choose to have any log in information remembered. This feature is not available when cookies are disabled in your browser. Your shopping experience is enhanced and checkout information is stored in temporary memory on our servers as a “session.” This information persists as long as your browser is open and disappears completely when your browser is closed. If you are using a public computer, we advise you to close your browser application completely when you are done using our website to prevent anyone using the computer after you from accessing your personal information.

We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site.

Log Files

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Additionally, when downloadable files are accessed, your IP address is logged. Otherwise, we do not link IP addresses to personally identifiable information, and we do not distribute or share IP information with any third parties.

We may employ third party companies to perform functions on our behalf. These functions may include order fulfillment, package delivery, marketing assistance, postal and email delivery, customer service, data analysis, and credit processing. The third parties we contract for these purposes have limited access to your personal information and may not use it for other purposes.

As our business continues to evolve, we may acquire or sell business units or subsidiaries. Customer information is one of the business assets that would be transferred in these types of transactions. In such a situation, your personally identifiable information would only be used in a manner consistent with our pre-existing Privacy Statement. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Website.
